Upper Tennessee River Roundtable is seeking a qualified landscaper to install stone and plants in areas recently converted into a stormwater best management practice (BMP) in the Town of St. Paul, Virginia. The project and landscaping is being funded through grants from numerous sponsors. The project must be completed by June 9.
See the maps and photos of the area attached. The project is located on Russell Street in St. Paul between the Molinary Building and the Fraley Building at coordinates: 36°54’15.36N, 82°18’37.63W.
The area is broken into 3 sections: 1) sign area (a triangle shape area along the border of the BMP where a professional sign is being installed), 2) space between the BMP and adjacent building (linear), and 3) a square shaped area on the opposite end of the project from the sign.
(*Please note dimension were obtained from Google Earth and are estimates)
Area 1 is approximately51ft2. This area will have a sign post and sign. Our committee envisions native plantings along with decorative stone.
Area 2 is approximately 344ft2. It is linear and is the area between the edge of the stormwater BMP and the neighboring wall. This area must be filled with decorative stone. No mulch or other material containing small particles are allowed.
Area 3 is a small area 181 ft2. It is a square currently grassed area adjoining the project on the opposite end. Our committee envisions this area planted similarly to area 1 complemented with stone.
Our committee prefers Nolichucky stone.
Any interested party who wishes to visit the site or has questions, may contact Kelly Miller at 276-676-4879.
Bidding will be open until May 15. The project must be complete by June 9.
