Welcome
A concerted effort started in 2006 to launch a regional Keep America Beautiful affiliate in Southwest Virginia. Under the leadership of Carol Doss, who had managed a KAB affiliate in Wise for 16 years, a team of litter control coordinators and officers worked with Sue Smith of KAB to turn this dream into a reality. Keep Southwest Virginia Beautiful received official KAB certification April 21, 2007. Since then, KSVB has won both state and national awards for litter prevention efforts.

The mission of KSVB: To engage individuals in Southwest Virginia to take greater responsibility for improving their community environment.

KSVB includes the cities of Norton and Bristol and the counties of Lee, Wise, Scott, Washington, Smyth, Tazewell, Russell, Dickenson and Buchanan. The affiliate covers 4,255 square miles. This is the largest regional affiliate in the U.S.
