EPA Targeted Watershed Grant

The EPA Targeted Watersheds grant program awards grant money to a very small number of watershed organizations each year. In 2003, the Upper Tennessee River Roundtable was selected as one of only 20 recipient groups nationwide to receive funding. This grant provided $800,000 to support projects including: implementation of recycling program, construction of stormwater management structures, implementation of species protection BMPs in creeks, and several streambank and wetland restoration projects.

The Upper Tennessee River Roundtable's grant concluded early in 2008. Information about projects completed under the grant is available below.

Emergency Responders

The Roundtable hosted training workshops for emergency responders throughout our watershed. 83 emergency responders were trained in how to properly respond to toxic spills through these workshops. To further reach out to emergency responders in our region, the Roundtable published and distributed a brochure about toxic spill response. This brochure is available for download (in PDF format) below.
